STUDENT PROFILE: Gator Family Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Name: Lani Stover

Profession:
Office Manager

How long have you trained:
Since October 2013...

Rank: Adult Blue Belt

Why did you start training Jiu-Jitsu:
To meet new people and learn a fun sport

What do you like most about Jiu-Jitsu:
I'm having a blast. I love how challenging it is and learning from everyone around me.

What are your goals in Jiu-Jitsu:
To have fun, and (hopefully) not be terrible at it (someday)

How has Jiu-Jitsu helped you in everyday life:
It's pushed me to be healthier and more active. It's also helped me to "slow down" and strategize a little better even in regular day to day challenges.

What would you say to a new student:
Stick with it...drill, drill, drill. Listen to the higher ranking belts, they can offer great advice. Don't be attached to an outcome; roll with it and try to adapt. And DON'T FORGET TO TAP!

Jiu-Jitsu is for everybody!
